Says they are the ATO and I have an arrest warrant for nonpayment of tax if I don’t ring them.

I called the Police Assistance Line and they advised me that this scam is going 'viral'. Their advice: Do not answer, do not call them back and if you do answer, hang up immediately.

I called back and when they wanted my address I bailed. Indian accent with background noise like a call centre

Complete scam, said I would be arrested if I didn’t pay them money today. I called the police and they confirmed that police don’t work that way.

Wanted me to go to atm and withdraw cash to deposit at another bank to pay the debt and remove arrest warrant.

I received a call from them this morning, i mentioned that i was not familiar with this number and if they could email me so i could verify them and their company and my "tax issues". The toned changed and he seemed angry that i wanted him to email and mentioned that i could get in trouble. Strong Indian accent was not at all professional.
