Got a call from this number stating that it was the ATO investigation unit regarding an investigation.
It rattled me a bit actually
But then I'm pretty sure the ATO would not communicate this way

I did call, it rang a few times then the line went busy.

Same thing happened to me today. Tried calling back but no one pick up.

Definitely a scam.
I also got a call from this number stating it was the ATO investigation division regarding a lawsuit being filed against me and I must call back within a certain time-frame or an arrest warrant will be issued.
These are all american terms and won't be used by the ATO.
ATO communications are usually via the MyGOV website, also my notice of assessment has already been received as has the refund.

They say that they from ATO and charges you from 3k to 9k for tax fraud. These guys are very professional. So people should be aware of it...called the number, rings but no answer

Agree this number rang and an automated service stating a lawsuit was being applied to me from ATO. Dodgy.

The scammers wanted me to ring back about ATO issue. NO!

I got the same call. At the end of the call it said "God Bless You". Doubt it's the ATO with an american accent

I got a similar voice automated msg saying an investigation was under way. if I didn't call back I wud b receiving an arrest warrant. I think its spam as I also believe the ATO wouldn't address the public in this manner. I believe they would send a letter instead. And today I received an official letter from the ATO in regards to my returns. I believe the phone call was BS spam

The same thing happened to me today. Same number. “God Bless You” at the end of the message not very Australian Gov!

I got a call and text message from this number also saying it is from the investigation division of the ATO. Same like the previous post, I doubt ATO would contact anyone this way.

We received a call from this number couple of times. Telling us that their going to take us to court. It was a scam call. Be aware this number.

i got the same message but it was a robot voice saying there was a lawsuit against me from the ATO. Feels like a scam to me.

Missed a call from this number, looked it up to find one previous report of it today claiming to be ATO.

Correct, got a called from them today. Looks like another scam
