+1 ..I also received a call claiming to be from the NBN from a blocked number.

A guy who claimed to be called Kevin

He claimed that due to network load issues, the NBN would be down for maintenance for 2 weeks. He advised that I would need to generate a "code" to organise a backup "server". He was asking if I had an existing connection and computer that I could use to generate a code. I didn't have time to continue the conversation, so I simply asked for his details, and he provided this phone number (02) 8091 2588. I then terminated the call.

Overall his claims were obviously false, he kept referring to the "servers". An NBN or Other network tech would not refer to it in this way. I asked what medium would be used for the backup service (as it would need to be either wireless, or they would need to run a new lead-in (very unlikely)), he avoided the question, just said I needed a code to organise a backup server. Unfortunately I didn't have much time, else I would have obtained the scam web address also.

I expect this is a phishing attempt to gather personal information.

Telling me she is cutting off my phone, data and nbn and if I wanna back it up.

Called from a private number but provided the number (02) 8091 2588 to call back from.
