Had this number and similar numbers calling my mobile over the last couple of weeks...no message. Then today a message was left which was automated saying that the ATO has tried to contact me on several occasions and no response so assuming intentional fraud and prosecution is being started against me and my family. Need to phone this n.umber back. I called my accountant to check whether I do have anything outstanding, which I don't, and she told me there are heaps of scams out there.

I received a call from a male threatening me that he will come and kill me and my family. I disconnected the phone but the caller's number showed up on my screen as
(02) 8091 2396 If you can determine the source of this phone call can you not arrest and charge the caller for making such threats? Please get the police to investigate as this is really serious. Thank you!

Purported to be ATO, fraud case, ring this number (02) 8091 2396 to avoid further costs.

Caller: SCAM SCAM SCAM. Be aware, very aware!!

Very threatening call claiming to be the ATO. Definitely NOT the ATO. Could be very intimidating for someone to receive. If you receive a call claiming to be from the ATO and are unsure hang up and call ATO on 13 28 61 (their customer service line).

We had tried to notify you regarding this issue but we had never got any response from you." This message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you.
