Spam call claiming from AGL. Don't answer, don't give your details and definitely don't give in to their threats

ATO Tax scam. Will know your name and address and introduce themselves as from the ATO, stating there is an error with a return and wanting credit card details to rectify it. Just say, "You know that what you're doing is a federal offence?", and they hang up real quick.

Hello,
I just had an automated message from +280911870. I tried to call it back but it would not connect. So I changed the number to (02) 8091 1870 and rang it.
This time it connected and a man’s voice said “Welcome to the ATO, how may I help you”.
I explained to him that I had just received a missed call and I was returning the call.
He asked my name and I said Brian Johnson.
He said his name was Ray (or Roy) and that I had over $900 on my account. Interesting that of all the Brian Johnsons in the word he knew I had $900 on my account owing to me!!!
He asked if I had a Visa or MasterCard to which he could refund the money.
I told him I did not use credit or debit cards, only a cheque book. If he could kindly send me a money order I would bank it.
He said I had to have a Visa or MasterCard otherwise I was not eligible for this refund.
I said “if you are the ATO, you will send me a money order that I can bank”
With that he hung up.
How strange!!!
With this landline number I hope you can track where it is coming from and arrest the bastards.
Cheers and best of luck.
