This is an ATO scammer and honestly made me laugh so hard. Robotic female voice saying batsh*t crazy things like "you are being investigated for tax fraud", "a warrant has been issued for you arrest" and "your case is time sensitive". Does anyone actually fall for this stuff?

Recorded message saying it’s ATO and that if you don’t call the number back you will be arrested

Got an unexpected call from this (02) number. I didn't pick up. Thanks to the info on here, I can now block it with confidence. Interestingly, I have already blocked a few (02)80......numbers now.

Also received robotic voice message re tax avoidance. This number is it the ATO & no one answered when I called it. Obvious scam.

These guys are evil. They even get into this trail and scam here too (see entry from so called John Alfred on March 14).

How do they get away with this?

Automated message from scammers pretending to be the ATO

Recorded message saying that they're from the tax office and you've committed tax fraud and will be prosecuted and must call the number back to discuss your case.
