Caller: A name was provided that we cannot recall and provided a Telstra ID number etc

Very successfully convinced a lady to give access to her computer by calling on the landline positioning as a Telstra technician. In the process they took control of the computer, her email address and went on for almost 2 hours with the computer trying to fix the so called "serious problem". After about 2 hours, the lady called me on suspicion for my input. I google searched the above number and found these helpful comments with regards to the number. The call and access to the computer via the internet was immediately was disconnected. They tried to call back and we chose not to answer!

Caller: Fake Telstra technical department

Rang saying from Telstra and wanted access through anydesk to your pc. Also wanted you to purchase gift cards then asked for the numbers on them.
