I've never been with optus and I'm with three now. I've had calls from this number the last 4 days, I have never answered it. Glad I looked the number up!!

Optus, I answered it and they hung up. Just some call centre getting their call rates up for the bonus. How do you block the number?

this is the same group from (02) 8087 3087, they call hang up and have you call them .... costs you money as you wait on hold

It's a spammer auto dialling to test which phone numbers are active for future SMS spam.

This is a common tactic.

I will report this number to the cyber police australia . Please do not give your information to them.

Just received a missed call from this number, no voice mail left, defiantly not going to return the call.

These guys have been calling everyday from this number (I have a new phone from optus) - they said they were from Optus and wanted to "confirm my personal details". I told them that I did that when I siged up and she quickly hung the phone up! Be aware!

Send this annoying number to auto reject - you can find how to do this on YouTube. Just type your mobile brand and model & auto reject. Good luck.

Definitely not OPTUS! I am with Telstra and have always been for the past 10 or so years. THey do not leave a message.
P.S. Always remember two things:
1. If it is important that person will ring back or
2. They will at least be polite enough to leave a message
(some of these companies charge you higher than standard rates to call them)

I've recently been getting calls from this number - they hang up the minute i answer and say my name. Very annoying. reading the posts above, sounds like a scam. Is there such things as phone spam?!

I have received a call and sms from this number for the last 2 days. Unfortunately I can not bar the number. I have just changed from optus to telstra. I have renewed my do not call registration and hope not to get any more calls...not too hopeful from the history here.

I rang this number and it is optus, wanting to know if you are happy with their service, it is a prank call and you should not answer it, Optus do not contact customers to get feedback, if you are not happy with their service you need to contact Optus themselves on their toll free number.

It's not a call re: "whatever service you have recently had connected". My Wife is getting calls from this number, and she gets a ringing tone, as though she had made a call.

I have had this call 3 times in the last 24 hours to my mobile. Have not answered any. Will call into Optus today to find out how to stop it.

These ppl are parading themselves as Optus and they are not! They want personal information and when challenged about a call back they hang up! they are into some kind of fraud or scam and should be shut down! What can we do about scum like this????

I have received phonecalls at 630am (europe time) for the last 2 mornings. Tomorrow morning i'm turning off my phone!

This number,despite being blocked makes repeated calls. Judging by previous comments appears to be a public nuisance caller.
