They say on a very crackly message that they are from the are from the Australian Tax Office informing you of a refund for $1,673. When you call the number another female answers the phone and provides you with a partial correct verification and then asks you to provide the standard ATO checks. I hung up prior to giving bank details etc. Suggest contact the ATO on their 1300 number.

I just block this number, best solution.

Phone flagged this as 'potential fraud'. They rang at 630pm so knew it wasn't business. Didn't pick up and blocked the number. Also reported to Scamwatch website.

Just got the call and put it through to my screening service, they immediately hung up. SCAM!

Had 7 missed calls from this number in two days. Called back and got an Aussie voice message saying "please hold while we transfer you to one of our amazing agents" without identifying the company or organisation.That was enough for me.

Called them back, someone answered, I said I was returning a missed call and they hung up.

Come sup scam numebr has an australian voice recording and then goes to an Indian call centre...I said straight up I know you are a scam please remove my number from your call list..He did so and hung up

Reading the messages it sounds like they are changing tack. My call was from “David” who reminded me that he has spoken to me last year and we were discussing my mortgage. I should be so lucky to have a mortgage. I rent. When I confronted him and called his BS he hung up so quickly it wasn’t even funny.

Caller: He said David from SGC advise loan interest rate.

Asked questions that need a yes or no answer. Scam as i canfirm now that other post here has the same number pretended to be from ATO.

Caller: Claims to be 'David' from 'CGS solutions' or something like that

Keep getting called by the same person - Indian accent - from different numbers - claims to be from CGS financial services - something like that - starts asking about income, income tax, I say it's an unsolicited call, I'm not interested, please don't call me again, but he keeps persisting (from different numbers as I block each time). He knows my name, I'm not sure how. Very creepy.

SPAM call - a delay before connection - A woman called - had my name - apparently from Mac..? Solutions - when i said take me off your call list please - she became quite rude - tone of voice changed - stating ‘You need to stop and listen for 10secs, this is not a marketing call’..... I responded with no i don't need to listen to you & hung up.

Same here said they were from ATO verification department. And I was due a refund of $1673.

I got a call from this number the person on the phone left a message on my voice mail and the call was real staticky but i could make out what was said. saying I was getting a tax refund of $1673:00 I tried ringing this number but the message bank was full.
Than i checked out the tax offices phone number and I could not find any numbers starting with the 8.
So for some reason I googled the number and read that it was a scam. Lucky for me I don't know what made me check out the number but I am glad i did now.
