Caller: Says from Telstra (02) 8070 2249.

Call from (02) 8070 2249 saying I have an overdue account with Telstra. Has my name and year of birth. I have reported to Telstra and see if they remove the number. Not holding my breath.

Got several calls from this number today and same time last month. Seems automated. I have never answered and voicemail is automated. Have blocked thanks to this thread.

Called five times today claiming to be Telstra. I called the number back with my phone number blocked and got an automated response stating “Hi thanks for calling Specialized Recoveries. Please enter your phone number and post code and I will retrieve your account”

SCAM. Have blocked number.

Getting dozens of calls a week. I’ve now blocked. I didn’t press 1 when directed to verify who I was. No recovery service for funds has a legal right to use recorded messages and ask for personal details. Massive SCAM. I’m so glad I can use this forum to check on numbers. Helps a lot.

6 missed calls over the past couple of days, called back, telstra imposters.

Called me multiple times and then finally left an SMS saying they were Telstra with a very urgent message for me. Confirmed with Telstra that there is no message for me and they are not Telstra. Nuisance caller.

They have been calling me multiple times a day. I eventually answer and it was a robot saying they are from telstra. They had my full name and date of birth. I found it weird when they continued to ask for information. I hung up and called telstra myself. Telstra stated there was no record of anyone trying to contact me. SCAM

This number called with an automated message that stated the incorrect year of my birth date and directed me to enter my day and month and when i did this the automated call suggested 3 times that my date of birth was incorrect and placed me through to an Australian speaking woman who went on to state the account number which has never existed for any of my accounts with Telstra. I also know i have an outstanding account at present and when i questioned this she told me she only had access to this outstanding amount was $25.14 for this account from 2021. She placed me on hold to source more information after i pushed the issue and whilst on hold (for a long time) another call came from a similar number, state and it was also a lady, non Australian requesting to speak to me, when i repeatedly asked her where she was from she said she could not tell me. Both blocked.

1st call - missed but did not leave a message
2nd call - i answered but when it came to confirming DOB, i hung up.

overall, no VM but asking for personal details, no thanks. Scam alert!

called 5 times this morninng. robo message from Telstra saying to press 1, this is not a telemarketers... blocked. its a crank and super annoying

I have a prepaid phone account therefore no outstanding bills possible. You have phoned me twice I have answered then put on hold. Rude!! I handgup after a short period.

3 missed calls with no message left. When I called back, the automated voice said it was Specialized Recoveries. I googled that name to find out that company was deregistered in 2016. Definitely a scam.

Yup still seems to continue! I’ve had 4 missed calls today alone. Not answered but looks like left a voicemail this time.Again, if it is indeed Telstra, I’m up to date on my account also. Block number everyone

I don't even have a telstra account. Scam call.

Rang twice in an hour and left an automated voicemail saying theyre from "specialised recoveries" and i need to call them back- lol

Same thing as everyone else, multiple phone calls though I have since spoken to them and they've sent me an updated bill. Not sure what to make of it.

They had my correct year of birth
