2 calls from this number. Claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank fraud squad. Automated message asking for a particular person then trying to obtain personal details. I hung up and rang the bank. They said that this is not one of their numbers. Glad I did not participate in the scam.

received a recorded message from CBA on this number. At first I thought it was a scam. They asked me to call 1300 754 566. If you google this and CBA, you will find this is a legit number on the CBA website, so this call I received was legit :
"We may contact you using the below methods:
A phone call from one of our fraud analysts An automated voice-activated call from our telephone alert system, from 1300 754 566 An automated SMS from our SMS service system (this will appear from + 0427 741 911, + 0447 268 622, or appear as CommBank) The voice-activated telephone or SMS alert can contact you within seconds of any potential fraudulent activity on your account."

Genuine Commonwealth Bank call helping to protect your bank account from fraud. Very helpful ... fixed everything up when someone in Germany had raided my bank account overnight.

No not a scam. sounds suspicious. first had a text at midnight which i had missed, then a follow up to reply yes or no to whether a particular transaction was mine. i replied no, and immediately received the phone call from this number and was put on hold - said it was cba Fraud team. i hung up and phoned CBA direct , while checking my account on line. sure enough , a number of fraudulent transactions were evident. it was quickly sorted by cba over the phone with card replacement. a nuisance but better than getting fleeced!

Its legit. I rang the Commonwealth Bank number from the website expecting to hear this was part of a scam, but was told, no, its their fraud section. My card had been used overnight forna number if transactions that looked out of the ordinary so they wanted to confirm that Inhad no knowledge of the transactions. Told me they would cancel the card and issue a new one. I must admit my first reaction to the text was that it must be dodgy - if yiu have doubts though its best to just ring the bank on the number from their website.

This isn't a scam, it's the Commonwealth Bank Fraud Squad. My card was copied and then used overseas, Commonwealth cancelled the card straightaway. If you're concerned call the main line 132 221 and ask to be transferred to fraud division.

Texted me a message asking if I made a transaction with a company I have never heard of before and then I received an automated message saying they are some squad from commonwealth, which I'm not even with. It's a scam!!! Block their numbers and don't contact them back.
