Its a promo thing. i got a missed call from it today and it was some guy who said "hi, we tried to call you earlier today about a special poker club, press 1 if you bla bla bla" so i hung up.

I just got a call from this number 10 minutes ago. Tried to google the number to find out who/which institution called and stumbled across this page (i have been particularly annoyed by cold callings which often happen between 5.30 to 6 pm - when i'm busy with kids and cooking!), and all i can say is good on you Trevor for lodging a formal complaint!

I'm on a RDO and this number called me today... I didnt answer cos it looked like a bodgey number.

I got this call today but didnt answer because pretty much any number starting with an 8 is gonna be stupid call centres.

any real numbers in sydney start with a 9
