Claimed to be from Westpac and had a query about our home loan.
They said they couldn’t hear me and would phone back. Never did.

Call from Westpac home loan team, when I was reluctant to provide details due to risk of scams, was understanding and immediately offered a 1800 number to call back myself - number matches Westpac's website.

If a legitimate Westpac call then they should know the person there calling not call you looking for someone else in regards to your home loan

calls me every day at least 3 times a day. I don't answer they leave a voicemail of 21 seconds each time with no one speaking and just background noise

St.George Collections department, if this number is calling you you are in deep dodo, don't answer unless you want to be forced into an unfair payment arrangement that will leave you worse off in the long run.

Continually calls but leaves no message to return call - consider it a scam

Same thing - claimed to Westpac , said they couldn't hear me and would call back in few days. Also a definite time pause with pickup and answering

I returned a call from (02) 8053 7876 but reached vm for Westpac
