I had the same call, and I have since asked telstra about it, which they said they would never do, and reported it to the ACCC for a scam.

Claimed to be from telstra and advsied my service was being suspended for the next 20 days, when i said no that is not ok, they hung up.

Called saying they were from Telstra saying due to illegal activity my internet will be suspended for 20 days. I asked if it was because I watched too much porn but he said no that was ok. He asked me to turn on my computer and I said I didn't have one, just an iPad and he asked for a tablet or laptop but when I confirmed I only had an iPad and I was worried I would lose my porn he hung up.
What an idiot. They are trying everything.

Called 3 times in last 20 hours. No message.

Same message as above. Asked me to go in front of my pc, that's when I hung up.

I have had a number of missed calls from this number as I have been ill & couldn't get to the phone quickly enough. Finally I did reach the phone this morning . An indian man said he was from Telstra and my internet connection was to be suspended as from tomorrow (June 20th) due to "illegal activity" from people trying to infect my computer. He told me they already had all my details and it would take 20 days to track them as I wasn't the only one affected. He went to continue but as he didn't ask if I was the account owner I was already suspicious . When he went on to tell me I could avoid this I knew he was about to ask for money so I told him I didn't believe a word and that I thought he was a liar. I then hung up on him.

Happened to me too just then, said exactly the same thing, but I hung on for a bit. They wanted me to open up event viewer and transferred me to a superior, at which point I hung up
