Caller: Scammer dude pretending to be optus Man with an Australian accent who knew my name ("Am I speaking with [...]"?) and said he was with Optus. I asked what he wanted and he said he wanted to see if he could get me a better contract. I said if I wanted this I would look in store. Now worried that I've confirmed my details too much. Creepy.

Caller: Optus Sales (Sydney) Sounds scammy, but it's legit. Optus Sales Centre out of their Sydney office. My contract ran out so they called to re-contract me with a new offer. Saved me $40 a month on what I was currently paying, so I'm happy with that.

Just had a call from this number, didn't answer it. I'm a prepaid number, and don't wish to switch over to a plan - which is usually what they're calling about.

Caller: "Optus" Someone named Nabil from Optus called me asking if this was my phone number and starts repeating it twice. Huh? I asked him where he got my number from, he said from the Adelaide Optus centre. Huh? He then said my plan was about to expire (which is untrue) and if I would be interested in going on a cheaper plan.I blocked the number. It's unclear if this is a scam or legit.

Number called me and the person on who rang said "Hello this is Sydney from Optus." and then hung up.
Blocked the number straight away. If there's an issue on my account, I get all my bills and updates over email and through my Optus app.

I checked the number, apparently Optus, and yes I do have a plan with them. BUT, had a call from that number last year and on checking, I had blocked it...Same number called me 08/09/20...Supposed to be blocked.

Very thick accented Indian male called supposedly from Optus, wanting to verify my "order". He said the information in my "order" didn't match their records and he then asked for my Medicare number. What has THAT got to do with Optus? Definitely a scam, so I hung up on him.

Caller: Optus Team I was a little skeptical at first, but the caller had all my details - asked for my birth date, so I asked him and he had the date, just wanted to confirm the year. As it turned out, offered me a great Plan, and sent me a copy of the new contract, which had all other information, including my IMEI Number etc. This is NOT a Scam

Caller: Optus Call from Optus regarding changing my expired plan. Provided current details and only requested year of birth for confirmation. No financial information requested. Followed up with email. This is legitimate. Saved some $$. Definitely a call centre but for Optus
