Don't forget, charities, surveys eg Newspoll or Alpha, Political Parties and members of are all entitled to call you even if you are registered on The Do Not Call list.
Other callers may obtain your number through "free competitions" at your local take-away or you expressing interest on a web site.
IF the caller is overseas ask them who they're calling on behalf of. Chances are the Australian company is not following the rules!
Obtain the company name and complain via ACMA web site!

Just had a lovely 2 minute message on my phone, pretty much someone tapping away on a computer and then an awesome yawn. Yup, Red Cross

I have had phone calls from this number several times a day for the last two weeks. Sometimes there is a call from my message bank but when I answer it there is no message.

I had a call from this number. I returned the call and and got an answering message stating it is Australian Red Cross in regards to your regular donation. I stopped mine months ago and I'm getting numerous phone calls a day from at least 3 other numbers- (02) 8064 5006, (02) 8020 3512, (02) 8917 4802. I keep adding them to my blocked number list on my mobile but they keep calling from different numbers. I would have thought they would have got the hint by now. No wonder donations are down. No thank you means call me more often in their eyes.

This number calls me twice a day, every day and has done for the past 2 weeks. Yes they say they are the Red Cross confirming my credit card details for donations.I cancelled it months ago. Doesn't seem right to me.
