Citibank card services. If you have applied for a card and they need more info, this number will cal you for about 3 rings then hang up, making you have to cal them back.
Citibank issue cards for other banks etc, my application was to Virgin Money.

Caller: Claimed to be Citibank re Coles Credit card Knew my name and asked for my postcode for confirmation. Said Citibank had new provisions regarding their credit card and required me to answer a question which was bizarre - re did anyone in my family work for the armed services or was in politics - as this point I hung up.

Caller: Coles credits card services I applied for Coles credit cards but an India female voice asked too many personal questions such as previous address, what home loan I’m with, pass credit card details etc..
Told her to cancel my application immediately. Regretting ever provided too much information.

I answered the call from Citibank, virgin and Coles credit card regarding my application as I haven't requested a credit card from anyone I was not sure why I received a call. The woman from card services couldn't help so not sure what it is about.

Citibank Debt Collector - they never leave a msg but continuously call in the hope of you picking up. 2 weeks late on my payment and I am getting up to 5 calls a day from them.

Caller: 4 different people First caller said it was regarding a Citi application, I’d already received my card and she couldn’t understand that. Second caller asked for the card number, not the application number, the physical card number and got angry when I wouldn’t give it to him. Third caller said they needed more info to process my application, and could I take a photo of my passport and licence and text them to a WhatsApp number. Fourth caller tried to tell me that Citi had given me the wrong card number, wanted to confirm the card number (but would not say the numbers) he couldn’t even tell me what sort of card I had.
It may be a legitimate Citi number but it’s being spoofed by scammers.

They claimed it was someone from Citibank regarding a Coles credit card. I thought it was a scam so didn't engage.

Said I had applied for a credit card, which I haven't. Asked for my date of birth, and my mothers maiden name. Knew a lot of my details already which was concerning. I called Citibank and they were very unhelpful. Refused to confirm if the number was theirs, or if they had an application in my name.

Rang my mobile and then my home phone. Fuzzy line, strong Indian accent, male. Said he was from Coles Mastercard, did I know Coles Mastercard recently taken over by Citibank, needed to verify identification details. I was a bit suspicious and said I would call Mastercard Customer Support. They said it was probably scammer. Beware.

Caller: Claimed to be citibank re coles mastercard Called my mobile number and sounded like a female from an Indian call centre. New my name and asked if I would answer some questions as she claimed that since citibank took over Coles Mastercard "they have different requirements". Told her I wouldn't provide personal details over the phone on a cold call as I don't know who it is that's calling and asked that they send me a letter. Seemed highly suspicious as normally I get emails and/or letters about credit cards and citibank phishing frauds have been prevalent for several years now: https://www.allclearid.com/personal/scam-alert-citibank-phishing/
