After keep getting more roaming calls from these numbers here in southamerica, I tried to contact Telstra and all they said was to register my number on:

http://www.donotcall.gov.au

I will proceed to do that, but somehow I feel it is not gonna work: this people already have my number. It will be sad to see my phone bill with all these roaming calls as I have answered quite a few times already (they always hang up of course): when you get a call at 3AM, it is hard to realize whether it is my family or these guys calling before answering.

Can't anyone help in these situations?

Scammers - stopping calling my house.

OR "Financial adviser center & customer call" or whatever you call yourselves, why don't you actually speak when people pickup.

Yeah,I just got a call from these scammers on my mobile.
I didnt answer because i didnt recognise the Sydney no.
I rang it back on our silent no. and got the "Financial Advice Centre" crap.
Anyone got any idea who and what they are besides dodgy?

similar or exact calls that everyone else is getting, it is so irritating. Thank god for caller ID. Today they called every hour for 4 hours, this is insane, who are these people?

My missus is studying here at home full time and now just ignores the phone because of the hangups.Surely our pro-active Auwstralian government can do something about this? *snigger*I have listed our number on the Do Not Call register. Yeah THAT seems to be working!I will be calling my Telco when they get outr of bed Monday!I think I am now even getting them on my business phone.
