they ring me today, and claim they are calling from my bank - HSBC. When I answer it by "hello", he just say I may be busy, he will call back later. Why he call me at the first place if he assume I am busy ?
I guess they may have tasks to call a certain amount of phone calls everyday which may be monitored by their call center supervisor.
So the caller really don't want to WASTE his time on the phone call after call is answered.

I too am on the National DNC register and was getting at least one of these calls a day. I'd let them go to the answering machine (any 02 8xxx xxxx number gets the same treatment) and no message would be left.Just for the hell of it I followed CEO's advice above and emailed the dncradmin address, (politely!) asking for my numbers to be added to their DNC register. Within a day they emailed back a very courteous and helpful email. Not only had they now added my numbers as requested, they let me know who they were calling on behalf of. Turns out it was one of my insurers, so the national DNC register doesn't apply. They also forwarded my prefence not to be called back to said insurer. No 02 8023 xxxx calls since. Peace at last.Definitely give emailing them a go, if you ask me.

We get 6 to 10 calls a DAY & when you answer it hangs up -One more day & I am reporting this to telstra.

We have had constant calls from a few of their numbers 02802302190280230431I rang today and it was "financial advise centre" No clue why they are ringing us.
