Everyone should write to their MPs and Senators and tell them to make this sort of marketing illegal in Australia.

I was just saying to a colleague today that I might start having a bit of fun with these c***s. I will go into Sportsman’s Warehouse or somewhere similar that sells quality sporting gear, and buy a referees whistle.......I will warn my wife to block her ears before letting them have it.....then promptly create the number as a contact before blocking it :)

business model for this mob is to hand out lists for unsuspecting call centre staff (loose term) to ring. They keep asking for same incorrect name, from different phone numbers and states. Sometimes it is clear its a call centre, other time its sounds like the person is at home. Number never gets deleted. I just answer it but say nothing, hopefully its the telemarketer that picks up the tab, not the person ringing (they wouldnt earn a cracker)

So far they're even hanging up before I even answer. Good luck to them wasting their own time.

These guys tried to see me life insurance. I answered despite my spam identification app telling me not to (i'm an idiot :S) Anyway! if you get an app like truecaller, it will tell you if the number is spam. So then you can confidently reject the call and then go back and block the number.

I told them to take my number off their list. They said they do not have a list the numbers are randomly generated. Bullsh*t. They ring and if I answer at all I tell them to stop ringing. This works for a few weeks before they try again. Blocking is the only way out.
