This is a call centre calling on behalf of Heart Research Institute for "Adopt a Hero Lion", a cute fluffy lion toy.
Call centres have computers that automatically call numbers and send to an agent to pick up, if an agent is busy and doesn't answer call for some reason then that's when you get a phone call with no one talking to you at the other end.

I vet my calls. This number is now on call block. I run a business and as a consequence, I cannot be on the do not call register. Glad I have an answering machine and this site. Lets me know what scum I can block so that my legitimate customers can call me. BTW couldn't get Helen Coonan's number who said I cant be on the do not call register originally. I wanted to phone her up, just as she was shoveling the first fork full of steak down her useless polly neck to sell her a TV antenna. Where's the justice???

Answered the call but no one on the other end.

My mobile number is on the "Do not call register" and I still receive calls from (02) 8020 3511 and nobody is on the other end

2 missed calls one from this number and (02) 8006 9319. Lucky they ring while I'm at work!!

Constantly getting calls from this number on business landline (I *69 the call when nobody is on the other end) Always seems to call when I'm at the other end of the factory and have to run for the stupid phone.

Get this call daily. Hangs up whenever I answer. Have now blocked it on my mobile.

I am also on Do Not Call Register, but still receive these calls. I agree, what use is it if it cannot exclude all who are not a service provider to me.
I have Caller ID, but have to pay for the privilege simply because I have to vet unwanted calls. I do not want JUNK CALLS, just as I do not want
JUNK MAIL! Extremely annoying!

Answered call was pleasantly surprised wasn't Indian but Australian. Told me he was ringing for some doctors in the sky - care maybe. I just cut him short, said thanks not interested ok bye bye. Hope they don't ring back - nah as if that's going to happen ;)

Charities are exempt.

Very annoying, they ring several times a day. I don't pick up but wish it would stop. A few days in a row last week and started again this week.

Rang my business and home numbers simultaneously today! Receive at lest 3 calls on each number everyday! Hangs up if you answer

This number calls me frequently, like Brett & Lesley, I have caller ID and never answer it. My phone rings at least 6 times a day displaying unrecognised numbers, or Overseas ID's.

Yeah, call everyday. We vet call through answering machine so don't pick up and no message left. They are very annoying. Wish they could be stopped. What good is the do not call register?

This number rings every day, I don't answer it. why don't these idiots take a hint? Do they think we have all day for them?

Actually really frustrating. Calls everyday and doesn't leave a message. I don't answer calls from numbers from other states because they are usually a nuisance. Really sick of it

Heart foundation, got as far as telling me that they wanted permission to record the call. Told them no, they hung up. No respect for the do not call list

Who ever it is calls everyday and do not leave a message. Annoying...This number should be included in the Do Not Call register but because they are calling on behalf of a charity they get away with being a nuisance
