Message popped up on Mac claiming infection. This number given as an Apple support number - clearly it's not! I suggest turn off browser, log out, shut down, restart, clear today's browser history, and go from there. Worked for me.

This is a scam. Close your browser then restart it with the shift key held down. This popped up when I clicked on a link to an article on Facebook. Reporting it to scam watch too.

Beware, this is a phishing site, claiming to be from Apple and that the computer is infected with multiple viruses. not an apple site
