I have resorted to not answering any unknown numbers. I have decided that if it is a legitimate call, they would leave a message. the number and frequency of these calls is getting ridiculous!

Caller: Brand of Choice Called back. Got the same recorded message by woman with an Indian accent. These people seem to have an unlimited list of numbers to call from. Maybe Telstra should limit their phone number allocation so well not constantly blocking new numbers.

I have had 12 different numbers ring my phone in the last 2 weeks, I am sick and tied of this crap. I wish the minster of telecommunications would get some balls and do something. This is harassment there are laws in this country for that. Can someone explain how they can set up these phones and use a different number each time.. Surly some of the blame lies with the Telcos installing and connecting these phones. They must get a bill, why can they not track down the owners of these bills and send them to the police to investigate. Ministers need to get balls - NOW

Even if you block the numbers they just ring again and again from another number - I have actually created a contact in my phone call SCAM and have been adding these types of numbers for over a year

Never doing an online survey again - Did a survey (Can't remember who it was for again) Ever since then i get multiple phone calls everyday. Worse that i never even provided my number on it so somehow they managed to retrieve it.

Same same same as comments by earlier posters. Telstra or phone companies must put a stop to this rubbish. Never answer a number you do not know, the caller can always leave a message

Why is the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) doing nothing to prevent these nuisance calls??? If I were to harass, stalk or deliberately annoy people I would be charged and convicted. But it seems that TIO has no interest in doing anything nor do the Telco's. The Telco's would lose otherwise a lucrative income stream! I see the TIO and the Telco's collaborating with the scammers. STOP ALLOCATING FAKE PHONE NUMBERS TO THESE SCAMMERS!!! PLEASE STOP THESE NUISANCE CALLS!!!!

Caller: Some sneaky muthafukka Why did I stupidly get sucked into the survey stuff? Once upon a time I went door-to-door doing surveys for "reputable" marketing statistics companies... these days bogus companies do surveys online and give your details out to unscrupulous phishers ~ ~ thinking seriously about ditching my phone number!

Caller: Scammer Caller is very hard to understand - I suspect they are overseas and somehow masking it with an Australian number. Don't bother answering this number. They keep calling from a Canberra number (02 6...).
