I didnt answer as it was 8pm and normally they wouldnt leave a message but today they did. It was an automated service asking me to select a number based on my choice of political party..its not even election time. Scam

Still getting calls from this number. 5 times checked here over at least the last year. Well they're certainly not quitters. Rang 30 seconds only, left no message, I did not respond. Thanks for leaving comments! Why is there no policing of phone spam?

Caller: Not overseas They can't be from overseas as I have now had all overseas calls blocked, mainly because I could never understand them. When they used to phone I would put my husband on the phone and they would never get away, he talks until the cows come home and they can't get a word in and loud as he is deaf. He loves talking to telemarketers, I bet they have to have a break after they get of the phone from him or we tell them to hold on and go back to having our dinner and leaving them on the line.

Blocking Number is a great suggestion. Only consolation is it has cost them the price of a phone call. With a bit of luck they to at some stage in life will be cursed by some moron calling them. Trouble also they are probrably some Indian d*ckhead calling from overseas through a Australian based "Relay Phone" so not possible to call them up and tell them to "Stick it".

Caller: Survey for politics You answer the phone & states is a short survey for politics. Seriously, how do they get your number when you are on the do not call register.

Called. Answered. Hang up.
When will the Australia government take serious actions against these idiots? Does the government know these idiots are doing great harm to the Australian economy?

A tip for everyone - go to the online do not call register and add your number there. It takes 30 days but after that telemarketers are not allowed to call your number any longer. If they keep doing it you can lodge a complaint:
- your number has been on the Do Not Call Register for more than 30 days and you receive an unsolicited telemarketing call or marketing fax - If you receive a telemarketing call (even if your number isn’t on the Do Not Call Register): before 9 am or after 8 pm on weekdays before 9 am or after 5 pm on Saturdays anytime on a Sunday or a national public holiday - the caller refuses to give you information required by the Industry Standard.
