I am sick to death of this idiot ringing my number at all different times of the day and just recently at night if this company is so bored that they have nothing else to do but ring peoples numbers then maybe they should get a real life and a real job and stop harrassing the sh*t out of people who have better things to do than answer the phone

Same thing here after 9 nine calls, I decided to answer one, and waste their time.
If you want revenge go through the whole sales pitch. ask questions, get excited about it.......and offer family referrals.
Ask if they have any other products that may suit, is there a discount if i refer people to him/her directly ?
The BIG one is ...."how do I go about paying for it" (write all the details down so you can send to bank/police so there is a trail they can follow)
And when they ask, when will payment be coming through......Just laugh , call them what ever you like, and tell them all this going to the authorities
The only way to seriously stop these clowns is to stop the way in which they receive funds so have some fun, get the details and lets get rid of them

Although I have blocked calls from this number this October last year I still receive calls from them. In total 22 calls you would think they would get the message.

This number had been calling me and today I answered. The woman told me it was Alpha insurance and wanted to conduct a short survey. I said No. She asked why. I informed her I had a similar phone call the previous day (different company) and the rude bitch (irish accent) just hung up on me.

I wanted to post a follow up per the post I made earlier.
We have contacted the Canadian Anti-Fraud Department, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), the Australian Communications and Media Authority, and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (who we are advised can help with international fraud such as this)
We have not heard updates or been given any information about who actually owns this phone number, but we are eagerly waiting any information.
Again, AnswerPlus Canada is NOT responsible for these calls. I'm truly sorry that you are having to endure so many calls, they are not just annoying, they are harassment.
We do not have the technology to make telemarketing calls, it is not a service we have ever offered. We cannot even dial out to Australia, all the calls we have made to the Australian Authorities have to be made from private phones.
As we get more information I will once more update everyone. If there are any other suggestions for whom we can contact to help everyone, please let me know. We are not responsible for these, but that doesn't mean we won't help any way we can.

We have as well, been in touch with the authorities about the telemarketing calls. We are not a telemarketing company. We do not have any affiliation with this company called Answer Plus who is harassing people in Australia. .
We were under the impression the calls were coming from your company as well. Please feel free to call us on our toll free number, or email us. We would like to work together with you in any way we can and help the investigation to stop these calls.
AnswerPlus Canada never has and never will do any form of telemarketing, in any way.
We don't have any answers as to why this company is calling itself AnswerPlus, the same as you we have no affiliation with it in any way.

I saved the number as a contact in my phone and named it Cancel Call and I reject the calls when they come in. They are still trying to get through, but at least I can see who it is and just stop the call. I am unable to bar call on my phone

It always shows as coming from the same 02 number, so perhaps just block the number on your phone and that might at least help some of us receiving them on mobiles. That's what I have done

I would like to state for the record, that AnswerPlus Canada is NOT responsible for these telemarketing calls either.
We have never and will never do any form of telemarketing. We do not offer telemarketing services, we do not have auto diallers, and we are not a marketing company in any sense of the word.
We as well have no control over the company responsible for this using the same name as us.
We are working to make contact with the true company who is making these calls. We also are in contact with the authorities to try and get to the bottom of it in any way we can.
Our company offers services as switchboards for hospitals, and other health care providers, as well as for small companies who need someone to answer their phone when they are away.
We do not make any type of sales calls in any way and we are not the owners of this phone number making the calls.
I am following up with the call I have made about this today. As I have any updates I will post them on here for everyone to see.
I will also be asking if they have any solutions as to how a person can stop these calls. Any suggestions they give me I will also post on here for everyone to use.
If anyone else has any suggestions on how our AnswerPlus can help the authorities find the true owner of this phone number and hold them accountable for their actions I would be very interested in knowing it. We want to do our part in stopping these calls as quickly as we can.

I have made several comments I would suggest all here do the same!
These people need to be sent a clear message that their behavior will NOT be tolerated!
Don't use offensive language just make it clear that you will ot hopefully have reported them!
Lets all Stop this Company in it's tracks now!
I have reported them on the do not call complaints register but face book will work quicker.
I am going to out them on my own face book page also, nothing defamatory just the truth and I would encourage all on this site to do the same and I believe they will pull the plug on their Business marketing procedures!

If you phone the toll free number you get the answer maching that continually phones people.
I have lodged a complaint and I would suggest all people here do the same as this is not good enough!

In the last couple of days, some research has identified the company responsible -- the Canadian Company: Answerplus.

These people run telemarketing campaigns into the Australian marketplace via their (02) 8015 2270 number -- which has been identified in many other posts on this and other sites.
I have fielded calls from some very irate people who have been receiving the annoying calls - which is most distressing for us as we NOT responsible and are NOT in any way associated with the Canadian company.
Please remove your reference to my LinkedIn profile as it is not helpful to other readers and indeed may be defamatory.

(02) 8015 2270 calls me 2-3 times a day for the past month. It is super annoying and they need to be stopped. I have my phone on me for work reasons and often get numbers coming through I don't recognise. Same experience as other people have posted, if I don't talk they hang up and if I do ask to be removed from their list which I thought was a legal requirement it obviously isn't adhered to by this company.

Hi,
My Company is Answer Plus Communications (Aust) Pty Ltd -- and we are NOT the company making these calls. Unfortunately these people are using a name that is similar to ours.
We have no idea who the company is and we have fielded calls from a number of people who have been harassed by these callers - who, initially take out their frustration on us until they come to understand that we are NOT the culprits.
I have suggested to some callers that they call the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman about this issue - perhaps if enough people make representation, they may be able to take some action.
An investigation by the ATO (or some other government department with the necessary authorizations) would be able to determine the owner of the (02) 8015 2270 and reveal who are behind this (apparently) marketing campaign that is causing so much grief.

I am sick of these calls. Don't know the number but they have called at least once or twice a day over the last few days. They are a real nuisance. They need to be stopped. If we wanted to call them we would do so. When I answer phone immediately rings to another line. When person picks up I just don't talk back and they hang up.

I just took the call after ignoring it 3 times today and it diverted me where I then spoke to a woman. I told her to take me off their contacts list as I was just about to call Telstra to complain about it. My number is private (I tested it on this reverse call page and it does not come up), so I'm assuming that some other organisation or business passed my details along. The woman I spoke to was apologetic and said she would ensure my number would be removed; let's see what happens. I asked her who she was representing and she said it was a Market Research company called "A Plus" Marketing.
My suggestion to everyone is to take the call, wait for the diversion and then make the same complaint. Make sure to ask to be removed from their 'list'.
