Caller: Some vanity publisher

The caller said he was from some vanity publishing company, wanting to pick up my book. His facts were all wrong and he was reading from some prepared script. English is a second language and while it appears to be a NSW number, he is clearly ringing from overseas.

Just had this number call me twice. Didn't answer

wow, that could be quite intimidating for some people - elderly, English-as-a-second-language, people with businesses and/or property etc. Don't know how these scammers live with themselves. Thanks for the heads-up.

Got call from this number. They said they are from Ato and have a arrest warrant for me. And to settle that I should immediately pay $25000. They were asking card details account details etc. I called police,and police advice me it is a scam. I went tomato office also, they said it's not there number, and they will never ask for car dot account details.
