Called back and a guy said he was from the ATO and could he have my number. Hung up and blocked the number.

Claiming to be the Federal police in conjunction with the tax office

it said i had to call the tax office regarding tax fraud

I have had 2 phone calls from this number . The first alleged to be from the Federal Police and the second from the ATO. The say that there is a warranty our for your arrest for TAX fraud. I decided to remove the number displayed from my phone (so the other end could not see it) and spam these guys with phone calls. I asked one of the Indian's if he enjoyed steeling from people and he told me "No". I then asked why was he doing this scam and he replied with "Yes sir, it is a scam" and hung up.

I had 20 minutes to waste so I persisted calling these guys. They answered about 10 times with about 3 different people. I had another 20 minutes to kill later on in the day so I continued my effort. One of the guys starting laughing when I called and said "I like you man..." then hung up. When I called back he said "Can you please stop calling and let me do my job". Arrrrhhhh????

Well I have some more time to kill now... so I'm off to give them a little more grief.

Scam, do not call back on this number. Complete and utter SCAM

they always use (different) Australian numbers but are fraudsters from another country pretending to be from the ATO with a warrant for arrest re tax evasion, just block the idiots, honestly....
