Caller: They rang, I answered all I heard in the background was multiple voices talking. They hung up on me when I said hello for the second time. I’m on the do not call registry yet here we are still getting calls I do not want.

Silence and then a woman breathing and humming a tune and two people in the back ground having a conversation. Could only make out the words, what are the phone numbers.

Caller: "Research company" Asked them how they got my number. They then wanted me to give them my email address, having got my postcode. Dodgy as. Just hang up.

Caller: (02) 8011 1845 Whomever is operating this number from wherever in NSW is a complete idiot if he thinks Auckland is in Australia, any number calling these days with 028 or 029 as the first identifiable numbers needs to be avoided, if they were "Fair dinkum" they would leave a message, one other thought is how do these people obtain these numbers

Let it go to message bank. No message so number is blocked. Real people will leave a message.

Caller: 02 8011845 Thankfully, Samsung has had a service that stores and identifies dodgy numbers. This one came up as "potential Fraud" so I just let it go. I did see a little link on there that I had not seen before for an app called Hiya, which from what I read, does pretty much the same thing. this might be useful for all those afflicted with iOS devices.

Dont Pickup Unknown Number
Posted on July 7, 2018 Caller type: Unknown Location: Australia
Caller: Unknown They called my mobile on a Saturday! I refused to pick up. There was a breach of personal details stored in the PageUp database (recruitment system used by many large organisations). This could be one of the third parties that got hold of the hacked data.

they called me after working hour, i am not happy. If you don't say anything first, they won't speak, so i am sure they make phone call by computer system.

Called me this afternoon. Sounded pretty pleasant and professional. I didn’t take too much note of why they were calling but they more or less said it was a survey and not anything related to telemarketing.
I hung up as soon as he asked for my post code. And then after looking on this page I have blocked the number.

This is survey company Ipsos... political and consumer data questions. They hold their call for only a few ring cycles and hang up.
