I had the same phone call, But she asked for my card number to pay $3.00 for service person to come out. She told me her name was Aleena and service person is David Wilson ID 106508. Once I told her I never give out my details, she disconnect. I wonder why!

Just got the call from on overseas operator who just kept repeating that the technical department of Telstra said there is a problem and they are going to disconnect my service. He just repeated this over and over as if reading from a script. Told him to F off and he said your service is now disconnected. Waste of five minutes

My wife had a call from this same number, the guy tried to scare her with threats of internet being disconnected, claimed to be from Telstra. Got really cranky.
Luckily she thought it sounded off, so she called me and I found the number on here, and found that this scam is already on Scam Watch:

I had the same phone call saying exactly the same thing and gave me the number you mentioned. I rang Telstra to confirm their story and surprise surprise it's not true. If you get this phone call tell them to bugger off!!

My husband received a call this afternoon at home saying that someone was downloading stuff on our computer and they were going to cut off the internet. The call came from an overseas number but the call back number was (02) 8007 5213.
I phoned the number back a few hours later from my mobile - no answer.
Just received a call back from a no name person saying they were from Telstra Technical support and tried to tell me all this waffle about my computer.
I asked the person where he was calling from and he gave the address 215 Miller St Sydney. I asked him name and he said Peter Fernandez. I asked the address again and he gave the Miller St address.
I told him I would check the computer and phone back. HMMMMM not. IDIOT
