Phone scam from a mob called accident investagtion

This number rang several times today and hung up when I answered. Most annoying whilst at work and one has to answer the business phone.

I just had the scam accident call. I knew from the start it was a scam. When I asked for her details to confirm with police she told me she doesn't give her details to idiots and hung up.

I strung him along for a while. I asked his phone number. Yes, it was the one which I could see on my phone. I asked his ABN. This is what he gave!!! 4329612860922168
I asked the name of his firm: Shine Compensation Lawyers
I asked his name. "Same as the prince."
What prince? "You know, the prince."
I told him I personally knew (lie!) several princes.
He then said, "The same as Prince Harry."
I terminated at that point.

For months now we have been receiving calls from a private number claiming to be from the accident investigation team and every time i ask how they got my details they hang up. Today i got a call from the same company only this time they called with a phone number and again when i asked where they got my details they hung up.

They've called me twice today but when I answer there is no-one at the other end.

Got a call about an accident I was involved in, in the past 2 years ( "Someone at this number has been involved in an accident within the last 2 years, is this you?"). I haven't had an accident in years and told her I had 8 accidents in the past 2 years and which one was she referring to, date, location, cars involved? Stumped her. She even gave me the company's name, Accident HelpLine, address, Level 11/400 George St Sydney and phone number (02) 8007 4745. After I suggested she contacted the Police, the call ended.

I just had a phone call from this number as well - pure scam - when I pushed for more information they hung up on me

Indian guy told me he was ringing from Accident Investigation. I've had a bad day and wasn't in the mood for any nonsense so I told him he was a scam artist and a F** a**hole and told him he should be ashamed of himself and hung up.

Can't the police do anything about these scammers?? I had one ring me so I handed it over to my son and as soon as he started to ask some questions, the guy flew off the handle as such..used VERY offensive language, screaming at my son all sorts of things. After the call was dis-connected, we reported him. If you all report him, even taped the phone call if permitted in your state, they might just do something about it.

Not sure what the scam is, but they're annoying

Got a call asking if I had been in an accident in the last 2 years, stated he was from Accident Investigation, in Sydney , SCAM , asked him for his number and he gave me another business in Sydney number , kept asking him what he wanted , he got nervous and hung up . I rang that number and it was another business inSydney who had never heard of Accident Investigation .Tell them your with the Police and see what happens

I had a missed call from this number on my silent land line. No message or anything. I always look at this site if i'm not sure of the number... will definitely be hanging up if they call again

Just had a phone call from an Indian claiming to be from accident investigation department claiming had gotten my number even though it is silent as I had been involved in an accident. I did not go along with it I hung up because had heard of these scammers through Facebook earlier.

Received a call this afternoon on my private landline from this number asking questions about a car accident that took place and was investing compensation claim, and they were the best people to assist with getting the compensation.

I just got a call from this number , I did have an accident 6 weeks ago but thought this sounded suss , they asked if I had received compensation yet and i told them my car was fixed and thats all i wanted, she then started getting louder saying i can get more compensation for myself etc , I started getting louder at her as she would not let me speak so I started yelling at her telling her to stop and listen to me and told her the person that I had the accident with took their own life just two weeks ago so I would not and did not want any compensation from anyone and hung up on her.

Same number just called. I answered even though from the caller ID I could tell it would be a scam. Silence at other end then after a while engaged dial tone. They will call again, I am sure... looking forward to stringing them along!

Just got a call today from this number, claiming to be accident investigation, saying they can get me some more compensation, but they actually KNEW the date, and details of an accident I DID have......so they must have access to some info. When I asked where they got the info from, she said from insurance companies, and police reports. When she asked my DOB, full name etc ( she knew my surname ! ) , I told her I would ring her back, and looked up this site....
