Tried calling back but comes up with "number not in service" why is this even allowed?

A bot told me that I an arrest warrant had been issued for Tax evasion.

Caller: Scam about fraud

It's a registered message saying that I have committed fraud.

Caller: Not sure who was calling

Recorded message saying from the Australian Tax Office. Hung up before I heard the full message.

Said they are from ato office, rang number back questioned it and they hung up immediately.

This is a ROBOCALL number from the 'Australian Tax Office' trotting out the normal arrest warrant piece...

An automated voice message (computer generated voice) claiming to be in relation to a criminal lawsuit filed against me.

Caller: Australian Taxation office (heavy Indian accent)

Clearly a scumbag scammer - heavy indian accent, hung up on me when I called them back from a missed call - clearly evident he forgot to hide his callerID.
