Caller: Automated Message regarding a purchased gift card from Amazon Australia Called the number and spoke to an Indian sounding lady who stated she was from Amazon Australia regarding a purchase of a gift card for $299. She stated she could reverse the payment but only after I installed an App on my phone. It was called Teamviewer Quick Support. I loaded it and found that if I transmitted my name and bank details I would be giving away my Credit Card details to a scammer. The thing that disappoints me about this is that she quoted my book purchases through Amazon. How would she know that. Also I use Paypal when ordering online, which is encrypted. I hung up on her and she called my number insisting I finish filling in the details. I had a quick look on google and found this Sydney number was a scam. The number has now been block. I have received the confirmation emails from Amazon on my true purchases, but never one for a gift card. Be very aware of these calls and this particular number.
