Email sent pretending to be Commonwealth Bank , sated that someone had tried to access NetBank from an unrecognised number, and to ring (02) 8006 4911 to speak to fraud team. Definitely a scam as it started "Dear User", CBA always use my name.

Caller: Said they're from the NBN, man's name is apparently Thomas He said there was unusual activity on my NBN and asked if I had given out my password to anyone.
Then said that he knows I have a computer or laptop and wanted me to turn it on so he could show me everything wrong with my account/computer.
I told him I was too busy and he kept pressuring me to make a time to call back, I told him that I'd rather call back on the NBN number but he insisted on me calling him back on this number. He continued pressuring me to make a time because he has so many customers.

Just received a call from this number and they claimed to be from Telstra. Said that my internet had been accessed by suspicious IP addresses from China. Sounded like a scam so before wasting my time i asked them to confirm who they were representing again so i could call them back and they repeated Telstra and then gave me this number and an address in Sydney including state and postcode details where they were located. Definately a scam.

Caller: Claimed to from NBN by an anon telephone number Stated they had monitored that my IP Address had been accessed and was being used by foreign IP Addresses and wanted me to access my PC and provide details (didn't get to specifics). Sounded very suss but even provided me the (02) 8006 8641 number to validate their identity. When I called it rang a couple of times then hung up, They then claimed this was due to their reception receiving too many calls. Allvery convincing but in the end, smacked of a scam .... BEWARE
