Also just got a accident investigation call asking if anyone had been hurt and something to do with my number... WTF.. told him he had the wrong number and hung up... Heavy Indian accent.. if they call back I will tell them that I will get my policeman (not) husband to take his call... but does anyone know how they are getting our numbers and their numbers to call... to buy a sim card in Oz you need a drivers license or ID.. so how the heck can these people mass call from an Oz number... not impressed

report them to immigration and deport the scammers they are here on student visa and have over stayed

I have been getting a number of calls to my land line (about 2 or 3 per day) and when I answer the phone there is nothing but background noise. I always hang up quickly and have resorted to not answering my landline and have left a message telling the caller to phone me on my mobile, but do not advise them the number. This is inconvenient as I do get genuine calls and if my mobile is turned off I miss the call completly. I do not know how to fix the issue and would appreciate some help.

Recently I started getting similar calls to my mobile but unlike the landline the number(s) come up. I have placed a stop on two of the numbers but know I will get more in the future. If anyone out there would like to play detective the two numbers I have blocked are 0466 373 970 and 0488 824 436

that some one has been in a car accident. I was so up set . Because my son in-law. Was in Accident nearly killed. 3 week ago. . I told them get off my phone. Stop ringing this number. As your phoned the wrong name wrong house. Nobody had been in a car accident from this household. He had indian accent. He said I will take you off the accident calling list . I said don't call this number again. Fed up . Disgusting how low can can you get. Worried thinking the worst .sad world low Class. I was so upset. As there was accident in the family. 3.weeks ago.

I have been receiving these calls for over the last 3 years & they still persist .
I have tried everything from being bloody rude to hanging up with no avail. My last efforts I have said that I am busy now could you give me your number & I ring you back.
This did not work either as they hang up after a few seconds & try again.
I don"t know what I can do!

Second call now. When I don't give them the info they want it usually ends in abuse. I usually start by playing along and telling them some stupid story.

i got a call at work today, from a scam number asking for my personal bank information, acting as an official bank representative, this number was '0415 213 205'.

some guy called me and said he'd eat my cow, i said NO, and said he was scamming and hung up, phone number is 13 11 14, the rung again after blocking their number, this new number is 0415 213 205 expect a guy by the name of varun

An Indian girl rang me asking if I've been in a car accident. I had to ask her several times what she was saying as she had a strong accent. Eventually she hung up. When I called number back it was disconnected.

My number is unlisted and they are asking for the man who had my number 12 years ago. They are buying a very old data base. I told them I was killed in that car accident and they are talking to a ghost. Needless to say they hung up. I also advised another cold caller who said there was a problem with my "Windows" that yes they were dirty and needed a good wash - what time could I book them in.....they hung up too.....

we are receiving nightly call on our business & our unlisted number from "accident helpline" the phone number (02) 9876 7193.

When you call the number is it of course not connected. I am so sick of this.

Hi, these are all Indians. Most calls we get, they are very hard nosed. Have told them to get lost (and worse) but they keep calling. Now I just press Ignore the call.
