Caller: Telstra Fake Call Centre Indian call centre claiming to be from Telstra saying they wish to upgrade your line security from hackers.
They get you to do a speed test and input several commands to computer, meanwhile taking control of your computer by installing ; 1) Support-LogMeInRescue.exe - Log-in by Rex Lobgeier. 2) TeamViewer_Setup.exe. 3) AnyDesk.exe.
They then want you to leave computer switched on so they can work on your computer remotely overnight to initiate security upgrade. Also mentioned helping catch hackers and would ring back next day after upgrade!
Complete BS - removed programs from computer -turned it off overnight - no harm done!
