Had it a few times myself. laughed at them and hung up. and now doing my own research and investigation. If they want to disrupt our realm, use our own information against us then they fall (unknowingly, but optumistically) under the our 3rd rule. they need to be ready for what comes to them now. help join 'legion' to Not forget or Forgive. These numbers neeed to be called and tracked down, if microsoft cant spend money on helping there customers, then we ditch them cause they cause the back-doors for the access in the fist place. I stand, for Hand. and sit for no one but myself. Will you band against the 'Man. and start with your own help.?

I received a call this evening at 7:27pm from a male person who's accent was Indian,, he told me he was from Microsoft and that my computer had been infected with mallicious virisus. When I asked the Indian male caller questions such as; who was my internet service provider and how did he have access to my IP, he terminated the caller.

Second time I have gotten a call like this- first from ALERTSOFT, then PCHEAL. Since I know computers, I let him waste his time walking me through all the "bad things" on my PVC. Finally - he wanted me to go to his web site -www.support.me-where they could take over control and fix my PC. Thats when I asked where they were located - and could I call them back - my wife was outside and needed me.He hung up ...
I agree with other people writing about NOT letting them do anything to your PC - there is nothing wrong with your PC and you should ONLY get help from people you know.
IF yout think you DO have a problem - download for free - Malwarebytes and run a scan. Most of the time -it can safely fix any issues you have.
And never give any information out and let them charge you!

On 24 Feb 2012 I had a call from a Man called Jack. He sounded Indian. He told me he was from Windows Service Centre . He told me the reason for his call was that my computer is sending out viruse warnings to international computers and they need to ficx it up.I allowed him to log into my computer and check it out. He informed me that the technicians Alan and James Lee will help me. James Lee logged into my computer vis logme and checked it out. Jack was directing the processand talking to me ove the phone. He told me to type "inf" at the command procees to scan the system drive and said if the red patch appears at the bottom then those are the melware sitting in my computer causing the problem. He did npot remove remove the so called melware in my computer. Jack then directed me to fill out a form and pay by credit card for him to provide me pc support. I did not take up the offer. I saved the form on my computer. Form is to be returned to address: info @ itekassist. He said he will call me in a weeks time. I called the number (02) 8006 2875 and there was no call.
How can I check if any spyware was not planted in my computer?

When I got the call I was suss as well so asked for the phone number so I could call back. When I did and told the guy I didn't have my computer with me he warned me he could crash my computer and then the line went dead. they also use other phone numbers. Tell all the people you know by text, email, facebook etc. know about this scam.

Same story as the others, thick Indian accent claiming each time I logged on to internet that people were trying to access my information. Said they were from a company called infotech. Funny how its just started after 15 years of using the computer - told him I'd deal with my own computer technician face to face. Sounds dodgy

Had a call from an Indian called Jack Martin, who claimed to be from Widows Support, then PC Heal but then later claimed to be selling Alertsoft. Same story as above - my computer was blacklisted as it was sending out viruses etc. and that they had got my details and name from my ISP and wanted to get access to my computer and ultimately sell me their virus program for $185.
Their website exists alertsoft.net , and they are liars and criminals...I can't believe that they haven't been removed off the net and their phone number taken off them..

Called from same number from tech dude from a company saying that my computer was traced as to being the cause for infecting their network. Asked for me to go to my computer so that he could direct me to help me fix the problem. I declined and he said that my computer would be blacklisted. I said go for it.

Received a call from this number saying we had errors as stated above but the company name given was PC Hills. They called back the next day, 19Jan2012. My wife put me on and then I was put onto a 'senior tech'. I asked them for their website and they commenced directing me to a porn site. After I let them know what I thought of them they hung up.

I got a call from Jasmine as well - though from the start i thought it was suspect as she used my maiden name. I have had no errors on my computer yet she was telling me that i did. The company name she used was Tech Results in Chatswood Sydney. I have called back withholding my number call was answered by service centre - no company name - yeah right SCAM. I am going to call Telstra and complain as we are on the do not call register.

I was called on my land line. Took ages before a (probably) Indian lady started on about Microsoft and errors on my computer. I was given this number when I said I would call them back after investigating their claims (that my computer was trying to hack into sundry major Internet services - Yahoo, etc / you name it) A day later I called the number from my mobile phone and hang up as soon as it connected. Within a minute I was called back from +4259981533. Refused call and was called again within 30 secs from this number so turned off my mobile. Thing is the country code within the number (ie the 425) correspond is unassigned in all the tables I have checked.

I asked them if I could call them back and this is the number I was given, however the call was clearly from overseas as the wait time between conversation was rediculous!

Just received a call similar to one that Stuart received on Nov the 11th. A girl was talking about some error reports, but when asked few questions put me through to Freddric. They don't know a thing about my ISP or my computers, but kept talking about some error reports.
