Called me and left a message, said I hadn't filed my tax return, that if I didn't ring them back immediately a warrant for my immediate arrest would be issued. Needless to say I didn't call them back.

I was scammed a year ago by an Indian claiming to be referred by Microsoft. He removed the virus (probably put it there himself in the first place), set up 'Crap Cleaner' and AVG anti-virus and charged me about £100. My brother later told me that he'd just given some stuff that was actually free for anyone to download. The account he debited money from was closed but he also took a 6 digit password off me to get control of my computer and that still worries me! How do I recover control of my own own computer? How do I know my ID is not stolen and trashed? Last week he called back again (1 year later) asking for a bank account as he wanted to refund my £100. This time I was better prepared. I asked him who he was and he replied "Justin". I pressed him for a family name and he gave "Wilson" - possible, but hardly likely for a man with a thick Indian accent. He claimed not to be calling from India but rather from the UK. I asked him for an address which he gave as "One Oxfordshire" - any UK reader will instantly appreciate this as nonsense. When I challenged that he was a scammer he seemed shocked and exclaimed "Oh". I began to tell him that he ought to be ashamed of himself at which point he hung up. I called dial back but his number had been withheld. Looking at all these other complaints, surely it's time something was done to bring these crooks to book.

Received a call from this number. Very suspect. Wanted me launch explorer or firefox, except, I do not have a PC. I have an apple computer. If he knew that my computer had a virus, surely he would have known the operating system.
