ATO scam. They left a message on my answer service with the above number. I called the number and heard it being redirected to an Indian call centre. When the gentleman answered I gave him a blast on my brass Hunting Bugle. He'd gone by the time I'd finished the serenade...so rude.

ATO SCAM!!! I received a voicemail from a man stating that there is a legal case against my name and a warrant for my arrest. He gave a six digit reference number and told me to ring before the case is sent for execution. I was told not to disregard the message, but it is obviously a scam. This would be extremely worrying for a lot of people, but they need to ignore it!!

Claimed to be AFP and said I was under investigation by the ATO and a warrant is out for my arrest if I do not contact ATO immediately. Gave number of (02) 8006 1429 to ring back. Definitely a scam call.

ato automatic voice recording, gave number (02) 8006 1429, thought it was scam, rang ATO for scams at 2.20pm 30 Oct to report and check rather than ringing, waited 8 minutes, wanted all my details which according to their voice recognition they should have had. Wasn't interested said I would have to fill out forms, while getting a non positive response, listed the number in Google and came up with the 28 other comments below. Recommended to ATO officer they should look up Google and follow up - the woman wasn't interested!
