Yep, I just got the same call. They asked for $599 in a Western Union Money Transfer (this is usually reserved for overseas transactions) so that a cheque would be delivered to me to the value of $5248.

i have just got the same call and hour ago. 12/10/2011, they said the same thing to me, that i was entitled to $5200, i hate that they now know my name date of birth phone number and who i banked with, not happy at all and want to change my bank details,

WARNING: THE "Reclaim Expert Department" IS A SCAM!My elderly Mother got a call from this lot while I was visiting her.. she could not understand the indian accent and passed the call to me. I was told that it was the "Reclaim Expert Department" of the Australian Federal Government that wish to pay my Mother $5000 for excess bank fees that have been illegally taken from her account. He said that we had to call (02) 8006 0684 and speak to a Michael Ford or Nick Carter and mention the application code he issued to get the $5000 cheque.I checked the info on google and found (what I had suspected) that this was a scam. I was shocked to find out that they knew my mother's name, address, phone number and date of birth. I am taking the matter up with the Australian Police Fraud Squad in the hope that this mob can be shut down.I personally will be very happy when these low lives are brought to justice.
