Just had same call, glad I looked number up and found this site. Didn't call them back

had the same call (02) 8006 0501 Angelina Cooper was the so called managers name totally a scam. had to quote a number NS14. I fully recorded the conversation and gave to police

Just got the same phone call today. They had my address he asked for my d.o.b which I gave to him. Then gave me the same number to call. I called the number and was told to call back in 15mins. It's to good to be true none gives you money for nothing so hang up

Just got off the phone with an Indian lady re the same its a scam for sure ......

I got the same call today - same details $7000+ refund from Federal Government - same phone number to call (02) 8006 0501) - same 'managers' Angelina Cooper and Alice Wilson - then a request to pay $238 at the local Post Office so they could send out a lawyer with a cheque. I called the local police but all I could give them was the number. I wish now that I'd tagged along long enough to get details of what to do at the P.O.

Just got a call from these guys, probably gave them a little too much info but luckily no bank details. Definitely a scam (Government doesn't give money out like that). Thanks for the heads up on here people

Ha ha, the guy told me the phone number 5 times after each time telling me to listen carefully. Gave him a wrong DOB and spelling of name, all good from his point of view. Sorry that some people will be caught by this. I never rang back but they chased it a couple of hours later and asked if I had rung. I told him of course not because I new he was talking bs and wanted to keep him on the line. He hung up. :)

I received this same call today, They had Name address no bank details but wanted date of birth. I gave him a year only and he was happy enough. I contacted my bank and it is a Big scam.

Same thing. Said I was overcharged bank fees and entitled to $7,000 refund. to call (02) 8006 0501, ask for manager - Alice Wilsol SCAM!! Do not return their call.

I received a call today saying they were refunding me $7000 from the Reclaim Dept Australian Federal Govt. They knew my name, address and I gave them a wrong birth date. I informed my bank of this phone call and they confirmed it is a SCAM

I just had the same call, I rang Vic Police who gave a site to report it that is a Fed Gov't site the address is "acorn.gov.au" it allows you to give all details

Received a call from a lady saying she was from Reclaim Australian Government & had $7,268 dollars to refund me. I asked for her phone number which she said to call Angela Cooper (02) 8006 0501 with a reference number. I knew it was a scam but said I had moved & would call Angela for cheque payment as we had moved. When I called the number I gave a false name & the reference number. 'Angela' put me on hold & then I hung up.

I've got $7268.44 coming to me! He did not know my birth date and was happy with an incorrect one, was happy with the spelling Cirolh for Carol, altho not happy that he has my address. His ref ID is PC95 and same no. for The Manager (02) 8006 0501. Since he is sending me a chq, there is no reason for him to know my bank, is there! Wonder before which Xmas my chq will arrive ;)

Just got the same call from (02) 8006 0501 indian said i had $7.000 due from my bank..told me to call Angelina cooper or Alice Wilson i said my phone doesnt call mobiles so they said the manager will call me back..not heard yet..they knew my name my bank my address and date of birth..

I have just copped the same as you maryanne , this should be posted somehow on facebook so that everyone can find out about this scam

yes got same here today again over $7600 for over charges ...i thought yeah right nobody owes me money ..they said was from federal government ...i did not call just looked up number and came across these messages ...thanks for the info will pass it on to my friends

Yep - got the same call. Asking for date of birth so that they could confirm I was the right person to receive a cheque for $7268.00. Told them I don't normally give out any personal details and the indian guy says "why are you so suspicious, you are wasting my time" and eventually I gave him a false date and he said thanks very much - here is the number you have to call. Obviously spam as the date I gave them was ok by him :D. Asked him for a website to look them up and he said, ring the managers number (02) 8006 0501 and they will guide you to it.

Oh my God I've got the same call today.. I then give my account number....I'm trap to their ship..is there anyway to report this?

Just received a call saying I was due a refund of $7,000 funny how we are all owed the same amount. I am concerned that they had my address and date of birth and knew which bank I was with... definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Same for me today. Indian guy, over $7000 owed to me. They gave me this number (02) 8006 0501) to call and manager names Alice Wilson and Angelina Cooper. I'm not calling back obviously.
