Got a call today. New reason for internet disconnection is---- as soon as your laptop is connected to internet, it downloads a huge Chunks of data n it could be a security threat to Australia. Very rude!!!

Asked to download teamviewer and install.

I hung up after that!!!

Just had a call from 'Telstra' woman was very rude. Accused me of lying because I said I didn't have internet. Gave this number and told me my internet would be black listed and no one would be able to contact me.

I have had 9 calls from these people in 3 days. They refuse to stop ringing me despite heated discussions and on occasion my hang ups. This is the number I was given but my caller ID shows it blocked or Overseas. I had similar problems a few years ago when they were "Microsoft"...

Exactly the same situation, I asked if I could call back and she got angry and said they would cut off Internet now. I said I had to call back and she gave me this number.

They're still trying it on!

Just received a call very similar in nature, my boss got on the phone insisting the caller gave his name and number he said he was Alex Watson and gave this 800 number. He eventually hung up on us.

received a call from "Alex" saying he was a Telstra technician and I needed to give him access to my computer to assist in removing malicious software, otherwise my internet service would be disconnected.

Scam call as above. Told me this is a Telstra number. Beware! Prank call is too mild a description.

They said the were from Microsoft and if you didn't do this fix you would be without the internet for 6 months. SCAM!!!

told me they were from tech dept at Telstra & my internet would be disconnected if I didn't do what was asked . first time , because I questioned them , the female caller hung up on me. I then called Telstra who confirmed they were bogus. 2hrs later had same call , and we went thru same conversation . I said I would call back and this is the number I was given . I said there should be either a 1300 or 13 number and she said no , I must only talk to the tech dept on this number. hope this is of help to future viewers

most of my clients have recieved a phone call from this number and these people have stolen personal information about them and their credit details by accessing their computers. they have asked if they can have a look at their software to see if they are running an updated version. then insist they put in (ID 934931444) (Password 1316). DON'T do this
