Ready this time
I don't know the caller phone number as I don't have caller ID burt it sound the same. This is the 2nd time I've had one of these calls. The first time, I must admit, I was pretty gullible. This time I was ready though. These people are the scum of the earth. Old folks like me are wary about the internet as it is. It makes it even scarier. I am on the do not call register so these people shold not be ringing. But only honest people obey the law!

Yup I too got a call mid last week at about 8pm. Which seems late for any telemarketers call.
Said he was from Windows, and my computer had error alerts sent to Windows. Indian accent. This guy seems pushy, didn't have a conscience, and had a do-as-I-say-attitude. I could hear a 'clicking' sound on the other side of the line. I let him ramble on, clicked on a few commands he wanted via the 'run' command to pop-up files/folders. He was warning me that my computer was sending Windows error messages. Yeah right. Then said something about going on the internet and typing 'www.support.me'. I didn't and found it very suspicious.
I told him I would call him back, asked for his name and number - Frank Ster (hum, a pseudonym for Prankster?) and the number (02) 8005 1786.
Same same, guy claiming to be from Microsoft Windows Technical Department saying my computer had downloaded some spyware. He wanted me to turn on the computer but I couldn't have further followed his babbling instructions even if I tried. Told him I couldn't understand him and said I'd get the person who maintains my computer to call him back so he gave this number. Slimeball.
exposed but not gullible
Two hours later and i've just had another call from these bar stewards. this time a woman very hard to understand with poor english and a very poor line but she gave me the very same number and address. Wouldn't it be interesting for someone to call around there and pay these people a courtesy call. Does anyone on here live anywhere or pass through "15 elliot st sydney" i assume it's the one near beacon hill?

Had another one today. Same ol' same ol'. They were persistent again in telling me to turn on my computer so they could help me solve all my computer problems, very persistent, but I have to say so was I. This time it was a female who kept asking me numerous questions and ordering me to turn my computer on but i kept on asking her my own questions and ended up giving me the same 15 Elliot St Sydney. Can someone rattle on their door? Rather noisily.
