I was phoned today at 2.30pm by this number-a woman with a strong Indian accent.  Spiel was that she was from Microsoft Computer Technical Operations Centre, and that my computer was about to crash.  She asked me to turn on my computer and follow her instructions. [My computer was on already-I just hung up]If you ring the number back a recorded message says they are the Microsoft Service Centre.

It is a scam do not fall into their hands, do not do as they ask you to do. They keep calling me every day as well. But when I ask them to give me their address they hang up. I get some times Indian / Pakistani Sri Lankan and also Australian person on the phone. Just now it was Sharon (Australian). Looks like it is a call centre and they employ part-time staff. I asked for their phone number and they gave me (02) 8005 0244. I tried calling them it went to message bank. I advise you all to go to Microsoft website and read all the scam warnings.

Got two calls from this number today. First call I asked for a street address so I could bring in my computer (I'm not sucked in by this scam), mysteriously the line went dead (hung up on their end). The second call came 15 seconds later. I managed to find out that its from a call centre in Brisbane Queensland, the operator identified himself as 'Alex' and that he was calling from microsoft. I asked him who he worked for because microsoft doesn't have a call centre in australia and he said a company called 'PC Help & Support'. No street address divulged unfortunately.
