I kept Robert (02) 8005 0034) going for 56 minutes before he hung up on me. Very poor form. Even his supervisor had a go at him at 42 minutes. Poor beggar has only been in Australia for a few months, but he has a work visa and was calling on behalf of a law firm (name withheld by me, they are appalled about the call as well). Robert was working as a legal representative under instructions from the law firm using data from the Road Safety Council Accident Claims Department who maintain a record of all accidents in Australia. He assured me he was not a scammer or a phisherman and invited me to come and have coffee with him. SInce I'm from WA, and was in Sydney last week, I had to decline his kind offer. But he assured me I would be able to afford the airfare out of the $7-$10,000 compensation I could receive for my unknown, to him (and me) accident I may, or may not, have had in the last two years where I was not at fault. Retirees should do more to help the community by wasting their time and phone calls by keeping them talking. It may help to fill an empty spot in a quiet day. Just don't tell them anything. The Road Safety Council, as a Federal department doesn't exist. Poor quality scam, Robert. If you'd call me back maybe I can get your address as the MLC Centre in Sydney doesn't seem to have the correct phone prefixes. I'll send Customs & Border Force to have a chat about your visa. Oh, and Roman rang from 02809144?? from Sydney Claims Lawyers a couple of weeks ago. But it did sound like my little mate Robert.

Just had an Indian guy call regarding my car accident of couple months back, he stated when I asked him that he represents Common Law and works for Gorman Law firm. He had contact my mother earlier today and sadly little did I know that she had given him info about the car I drive, car involved in the accident, he also had some how gotten my home address. I foolishly gave him my old cars registration number and the other drivers car number plate.
I looked up Gorman Law and the number they rang on (02) 8005 0034) did not match the number on the website?
Curious as to why I typed in the number they called me on and found posts like these online. The Indian sounding make stated that his solicitor would contact me tomorrow at 11am. I've tried calling this number back but it just hangs up, no voice mail?
I won't answer tomorrow but I'm confident that this feedback on this webpage to be accurate.
So please if you get a call from this number: (02) 8005 0034 and are as suspicious about it as I am and find mine and other people's messages here, DON'T give them anymore information.

Yes I had these people call me after I put in an Insurance claim stating I had to pay the excess, they had to have the payment before any repairs could be started. I thought it was weird as the car involved was a lease car, no excess was due, and the repairs were already arranged. I called my Lease Company and they didn't know anything about it.

Got the call from the same scam. They called from (08) 8530 0219 but said that they got my details from the "National Road Safety Council" and gave me this number (02) 8005 0034

We keep receiving calls from the 'Australian Accident Commission' claiming that someone here has been in an accident and can they speak to that person. I work at a school. We have asked them to stop calling, accused them of scamming but they keep calling and are becoming more frequent. Today I asked for a call back number and the number provided was (02) 8005 0034. How can we make these people stop calling??

Two phone calls today asking for "the person who had had a car accident recently". The first one I asked if he knew the name of the person as we are a large organisation and I could then put him through to the right person. He wasn't prepared for this and hesitated too long so I told him I knew it was a scam and hung up.
Second call came on another line (with a separate number) so this time I said "Yes, that could be my friend, but he's not in the office at the moment so can I have your name and number and he'll call you back". She said her name was Alena Wilson and the Company was "Australian Accident Care". This number (02) 8005 0034) was the number given and when I asked "Is that Sydney? Just to account for the time difference should he get back later today" she said that yes, they were in Sydney. She kept trying to hassle me for more info - obviously following a script, but I politely said "I'll get him to call you back" and hung up.
No surprises - when I dialled the number the call "could not be connected". On searching through reverse look up I came across this site.

If you are on the Do Not Call Register and are receiving calls from these people, take a few minutes and fill in a complaint form on the website. I see that they have successfully prosecuted and closed down other groups doing similar things. If this group is in fact in Sydney as they claim, sufficient complaints should get this particular nuisance dealt with.

John, (2 March 17), I've just been talking to your new friend 'Robert'! He called from a private number so no number visible at my end. Said he worked for the 'Australian Claims Authority' which seems to exist at at the website he provided which is www.claims.com.au However this website has a note at the bottom of the page saying that it does not to any form of unsolicited communications and has a different ph number, a 1300 number. 'Robert' said that I can call him back on (02) 8005 0034 and offered to meet me to prove he was not a scammer. We debated for some time whether he was a scammer (he obviously is) or not (he says he isn't) and wanted to talk about the car accident he says I had in the last 2 years. Of course there was no such accident so that was a bit pointless. Of all the fraudsters who call and try one trick or another, usually the 'Microsoft technical department', I give 'Robert' some credit for having the best prepared responses and remaining friendly despite my blunt approach. Often I end such calls with a few carefully chosen expletives but I didn't give 'Robert' a hard time, tempting tho it is when you know someone is trying to rip you off.
BTW my 12yo daughter loves talking to the computer scammers and they don't quite know how to deal with someone who obviously is a young kid with a quirky sense of humour. She leads them on with all kinds of silly things but once annoyed a scam caller so much that she got an earful ... "Dad, he said some VERY rude words to me!!"
As for Robert, he's a friendly scammer but a scammer all the same. By all means waste his time but NEVER confirm any information he might lead to get you to agree, and NEVER tell him anything else.
I'd love to report these thieves but as they are almost always calling from overseas, the Australian Do Not Call Register does not apply. And if it did, who is going to go to India to find him?

Received several incoming calls from (02) 8005 0034 and (02) 8005 0035 on my work desk contact phone number as well as several additional colleagues work extensions in the same office. Completely unprofessional questions from some insurance claims department stating they were looking for Leesa. The callers had very think Indian or ethnic accents and were hard to understand. A colleague had answered my desk work phone and was questioned as to what relationship they had with me. Seemed to be about insurance claim for a car accident in 2015. The (02) 8005 0035 number didn't seem to be registered or an existing phone number at all. When I called back the (02) 8005 0034 number rang out for several minutes with no answer. After several minutes I tried again and after a 2 minutes the call was answered by an Indian woman in a call centre. She had asked my name, I only gave "Leesa" said that I had been left a message by a work mate. She said she was from Common Law Claims and that the Australian Claims Register had forwarded my first name and work phone number and that I had had a car accident within the last 2 years and that it wasn't my fault. She then offered to assist me with getting compensation. I declined and ask her to remove all the phone numbers she had tried to contact me on as well as my name as it was completely unprofessional to call my workplace and question my colleagues. Hoping to not hear from them again.

My mum had a call to her home number which she has had for years. The Indian female was hard to understand, she was from Common Law Claims Department and mentioned an accident. Mum had no idea and assumed she was talking about me so she gave her my work number. She called while I was on the phone to mum, I looked up the number and it's all over Google. Told Mum if they ring back to say we know they are scammers and they have been reported!
