Caller: Some idiot scammer loser parasite! Here's one way to screw-up the plans of these scammers: * download an auto-dialler app (lots of free apps available), * optionally add your caller-ID block numbers (e.g. 1831 for Optus), * then set it to dial the scammer's number, * so the full number to dial in this case is, e.g.: 1831 (02) 8003 5580 * this is best done with a spare phone you don't normally use, which you can leave charging for however long... * Set the auto-dialler to dial thousands of times, then press start!
They will answer the calls at first, start to get very pissed off, then give up, after their time is completely wasted! HAHA!
They're using some kind of call-divert system - they don't actually live at whatever address the phone-number may be given to! They may not be able to block any callers with the system they're using, or they may not even get the caller-ID at all anyway to block specific numbers, or private-numbers. Maybe every call to them costs a fee, or they're on a monthly fixed-fee? Either way, they're going to have to terminate their scam eventually when they get flooded with useless calls! They'll think twice about starting their scam on another phone-number when this keeps happening! Restrict them to useless email-spam - at least that's less personally invasive, and much less likely to trick people who would otherwise fall for these scams when they get it on their phone!

Got a phone call from a mobile number, telling me there has been suspicious activity on my card. Didn't seem legit so I said I'd ring my bank. He gave me this phone number to call him back on.

I think it is a scam SMS. I feel like someone should do something about it. Someone has been using this number to extract bank information for more than 3 months (based on the forum) and it is still ongoing.

Caller: See body of message Same. Asked to called this number (02) 8003 5580. Not sure if there’s a connection but this happened after I applied for a Kogan credit card last week. Text originated from India +92 315 7092449. I’ve never received scam like this before as I am very particular who I provide my phone number to. Please share if it your case is similar to mine. Some dude rang me last week after I submitted my application from kogan which was legit verifying my application. Credit card application was approved early in the week. Coincidental perhaps?

Got a text message with bad grammar about my ATM card being blocked. Clearly dodgy. I googled the number, found these reports. I will block & delete the text.
