Caller: Scammer

A very sophisticated scam call. A man with a slight British accent. Perhaps a British Indian sounding voice?
He knew my first & last name, address, & the last 4 digits of my bank card.
I asked how I could know he was from the bank. He said he would not ask for any credit card info etc.

He said they had "detected suspicious activity on my card ending in..." He gave me details for 3 transactions in NZ. I confirmed that I had not made these transactions.

He said there was a login on a Samsung Galaxy phone, was that me? I said no. He said they would be investigating that. He asked me to check my pay contacts to see if any had been added.

He asked me to check the transactions to see if any other transactions looked suspicious, and to compare the 'available balance' with the 'pending balance'. He said for the recorded call, so that they have evidence in future, I should read out loud the balance. I refused.

He asked if I would like the card cancelled. I said ok. He checked the address he had.

He then said that to cancel the fraudulent transactions, he would send a text message with a confirmation code.
The message came from MEbank directly, and said "It's ME. You are authorising a THB 25,680.00 online card transaction. NEVER SHARE THIS CODE. Your code is... Not expecting this? Call ME on 13 15 63."

This made me certain I was being scammed, and I said I'd call the bank myself. He swore at me and hung up.
