Trying to inpersonate Telstra technical help...even gives testra ID name and number John D650120...They tell a story about your computer being invaded by a virus which they've detected at their technical services site and they will have to stop your internet access until the virus is cleared, however they will assist you to get rid of it. I actually did have virus a few weeks ago which was detected by my bank through the internet banking processes and my internet banking was blocked until I could demonstrate the computer had been professionally cleaned. These guys sound legit and similar to the bank, only the phone number they give (02) 8003 3483 doesn't ring and they won't provide a website or other means of verification. I told them to ring back after I had verified their story, not expecting to hear from them again, but they did ring back and then when I said that the number didn't exist, they said 'do you want to get this problem fixed or not', and I said, 'I wanted to get a verifible contact from them', they then said "well we're cutting off your internet now"...very threatening...watch out, they are very polished.
