This was the number given by a Westpac Banking SMS telling me that money was going to be debited. It was an extremely well polished scam call. The introduction music and briefing, the fluency of English from the person I spoke to, their insistence that if I wanted to trust the message all I need to do is scroll upwards to see other messages from Westpac.

I’ve been targeted many times for scams in the past and have found them easy to spot – the details are often poorly executed. This one was absolutely flawless.
