I received a call from these people as well. NOT WANTED. I asked the caller who they worked for but got no answer so I terminated the call. I get several of these a day now on both mobile and home phone. These calls have become extremely irritating.

This is a computer generated call. When you answer, it registers that someone is home, that day at that time. Your name and 'phone number is logged as being available for a pest to call you back, knowing someone is available.
This method saves them money by having a computer ring you, instead of paying a person to do it. That's why no-one speaks. You're talking to a machine.
Many companies use this method now.
I keep a list of the numbers that call me, and if I get a call from one of the pests, I check it to my list and let the phone keep ringing 'til they hang up. Or better still, I answer and ask the caller to hang on, because I just had someone come to the door. I put the 'phone down and don't pick it back up. Just leave them hanging. Feels good and they're paying to hear nothing.

Two missed calls from this number within a couple of hours, no messages left. I've blocked the number (along with what seems like the other three hundred numbers I've had to block in recent times, when unfortunately my phone will only store 30 blocked numbers). I am very, very sick of this.

Called me twice today, and yesterday, Optus has them listed as "potential fraud", so not answered. Now blocked.

Usual spiel about Federal Government Solar Scheme. Told the caller I was fed up with these calls made with monotonous regularity, that he was wasting his time and hung up. Should have told him about the guy in Wollongong area who had solar connected and was being billed excessive amounts by his electricity company based on estimated consumption, far more than he was charged prior to the installation. Despite meter running backwards. Threatened with debit collectors, disconnection, not worth the hassle.

Pain in the ass, overseas, low life grubs who are not intelligent enough to do anything in life legally or honestly. Should be hung.

Caller: (02) 7201 9077 They're still active. Supposedly still some solar deal. When I asked why were they calling private numbers on a Saturday, they hung up on me. A call back to their number only offered a chance to leave a message - no information to identify them as a solar panel company. Next time they ring, they will be told they are being reported for harassment. The next time after that will be a report for stalking. These people have to be stopped one way or another.
