IVR call from “Department of Legal” (they quoted). It's a scam call! Do not trust it and hang up immediately.

04/02/2021 ..i got autobot call regarding my TFN suspension and imminent arrest warning.
same number (02) 7201 8298

idiots posing as the tax department.

Caller: Some knuckehead

This fool told me in a professionally recorded (Australian) voice, "Your tax fine number had been compromised and you must press 1 to rectify the matter". I hung up and blocked the number.

Caller: Unknown

Called on my mobile. I didn't answer as I didn't recognise the number. Didn't leave a message.

said as all the others was from Dept. of legal services and there was a warrant out for my arrest for fraud. Press 1 to discuss. When i pressed 1 it just kept ringing and ringing no one picked up the other end. I have nothing outstanding with the ATO in fact they owe me

(02) 7201 8298, So called taxation Department saying my TFN has been suspended. Not happening as I am retired.

I get a lot of these calls. Always shows a sydney 02 area code.

Just don't answer it.

Two calls received from this number - neither responded on callback. Probably a scam.

Re: Legal case /warrant of arrest if do nothing blah blah blah......Ask to press 1 and then an aussie operator was answering the call with lots of background noise of very busy call centre. It quickly cut off upon me saying "I don't know". Already receiving another similar call via mobile 0419 986 372 this morning.

Tax fraud. Dont answer.

Said it was the Tax office also and threatening legal action recorded message.

I had the same phone call today on mobile and week ago on home phone, they left me massage. they trying again.

Got a call from this number and I picked up without saying anything. They also said nothing and eventually hung up. So sick of these fockers.

When I went to answer the call, they hung up. I have had similar 'ATO calls' on my mobile before. I block the number and then delete it from my list of calls.
